ASUS A7V Motherboard & Win2K

I have a dual boot Win ME/Win2K 900 AMD Athlon on an ASUS A7V Motherboard. It has the Promise Ultra DMA66/100 option. If I switch the ribbon cables to the DMA 100 connectors, Win ME works OK but Win2K won't boot up.

I know that obviously Win2K is more hardware sensitive.
Does anyone know how I can get Win2K to work with this, short of reinstalling Win2k?
I have the recovery console installed but not sure what I need to do.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks,
TT

Have you installed the latest drivers for the ATA100 controllers in Win2K? Also Microsoft has a Pre SP2 hot fix on there site. Make sure you get both of those and you should be okay. Win2k is a bit more sensative to hardware than Win9x.
