Don't get too excited about it - you only get video and no audio. Not worth it. Check the hardware compatibility section under "A" and "T" for instructions. It is going to be long wait for drivers.

If someone has managed to get both audio and video working, please post. I have tried oodles of different driver combo's on a clean Ghost system that I keep restoring over and over, but nothing has worked to restore the audio.

It might be easier to grab your VCR and plug the VCR's audio out into your sound card's Aux in.
That's what I've done. Sounds better anyway as my tuner doesn't deliver stereo sound but my VCR does.

While that may provide a rather temporary awkward solution (I am not excited about having to change the vcr channel every time I change the TV channel) it is probably better than nothing. Another idea would be using the vcr video out and audio out and just connect it to the TV Wonder and the Aux In on the sound card and bypass the tuner entirely.

I wish ATI would get their act together and support this card decently. Maybe the new versions of the card will make it more popular and more supported by ATI.

Did you even check the front page for the hardware compatibility lists? At the top of the page, once you actually navigate there, there are all the letters of the alphabet. If I recall correctly, the TV Wonder is listed under:

A (ie. ATI TV Wonder) &
T (ie. TV Wonder)

Well that's what I did, just use the TV Card to watch a video signal and allow the VCR to do the tuning as it has a better tuner anyway.

francelj - forgive me but it appears I am working a lot harder to find this than you are ;-\

The following was found in the hardware compatibility section "A":

ATI TV Wonder PCI (ATI) Yes W2000 03/00
Received the follow messages:
1) ATI says "Windows 2000
drivers and a new Windows 2000 compatible Multimedia Center for the
ATI-TV WONDER are planned for release at a later date." http://support.atitech.ca/products/atitvwonder/atitvwonder_win2k_drivers.html

2) These are generic brooktree drivers,
and since the ATI is a BT878, it works. Partially. To install, unzip
into the right directory, delete the pre-existing devices from windows,
have it redetect hardware, and let point it to wherever you unziped the
drivers to. It should pick up all (or most) devices. YOU NEED TO REBOOT
for one of the devices (crossbar). If you use an application like WINVCR,
vidcap32 or others after the reboot you'll be able to get an image.
Now for the problems:
1 - It's flaky as all heck. The applications kept crashing on me (usually
on exit), had problems with resizing and preview modes, etc. At least
the OS will stay up.
2 - It only picked up video at 320*200. Some apps allowed you to
increase the windows size, but youy'd get really grainy pixels.
3 - I only got images out of the deal. No sound. Tuner works, video line
input works, but no sound comes out of the card. I think the drivers
mention not supporting certain types of sound chips. You can sort of get
around this by tuning with an external device (say, VCR or cable box)
and hooking the audio from that into your sound card's line in. Of
course, that means constant fiddling with the sound card volume control
or your cable box's mute. I don't want to say it, but this is usenet, so
here goes: make sure it works perfectly under win98 before you try this.
You don't want to mess with flaky beta quality generic drivers on
hardware which is not working without a hitch. Too many things suck
already, don't make 'em worse.
On the upside, I was able to get the
image to stretch to 1600*1200 (which I can't under W98). Woop. 320*200
stretched by a factor of 6. Now that's progress...
ATI TV-Wonder VE (ATI) Yes W2000 06/00
Download
you need two files :
pv951wdmApp
and
pv951wdmDrv
the video works without a hitch and even goes to full screen. The only draw back is the sound issue as mentioned before.

There was no listing under "T" - however if you had found this, it would have been more than sufficient. With all due respect, before asking people to do looking for you, make sure that you have done so exhaustively yourself :):

I am saying no such thing - as the previous post clearly states, support for the TV Wonder is slated for Q3 '00. There is no ATI app - beta or otherwise - that works with the TV Wonder in Windows 2000.

The card DOES NOT work without the workaround pasted in my previous post and, even then, there is no audio. There were workarounds posted in this thread concerning that issue. I recommend reading the posts carefully and clicking the appropriate links to see what they have to say prior to posting another question that has already been answered.
