Hi,
Can see from your 'post count' your quite new to the forums so a big welcome.
Just a few points about your post.

1. What make/model/revision is your sound card?
2. What make/model/revision is your modem?
3. What OS are you attempting to get both of these items running under?
4. What exactly do you mean by 'make drivers'?

The problem is that to write drivers for hardware, you need to have very explicit knowledge of how that particular hardware works. So if you did not make the hardware, and you do not have specifications for interfacing with the hardware, then you're not gonna get very far trying to write drivers.

I suppose one could disassemble the Win9x drivers to figure out how it works, and then emulate that behavior under the NT driver model, but this would be a very pain-staking process. So, unless someone else has the same hardware, and a LOT of free time, you're probably gonna be out of luck.

Now, that said, I see that there are NT4 drivers for that hardware.... you might get away with using those. Your best bet, though, will be to just get a new sound card and modem.

I know you can get drivers for your modem from Dell as I have downloaded them before for a friend with the same modem. However you'll have to look around.

However I don't know about the soundcard - you'll need to have a look on the Dell site for them too.

If all else fails, you should be able to install the modem as a HSP56 Modem as that's what it installed as under Win2k.

thanx everyone, i will try to make the .inf files using the NT 4.0 drivers and a bit of messing around, if it does not work i will havet to buy a new modem and a sound card.

My modem does work but the problem is that i get a 33.6k connection with the drivers what XP installed, i have downloaded the lastest drivers but no luck i keep getin the same connection speed, my orginal connection what i get on Win98 is 51kb so it is a big drop
