Automatic logouts ?

This is a discussion about Automatic logouts ? in the Windows Software category; Is there a way to automatically log you out or lock the computer after a set period of time as I always wander off when I am using my computer. As I am now running XP, I thought there might be a way to make it go to the change user screen after say 10 mins of inactivity ? Any ideas ?.

Yeah - the simple answer is to set a screensaver to come on after 10 minutes, then tick the "On resume, display Welcome screen" check box (on the screensaver tab) - that will do the trick. It doesn't really log you out - it uses the fast user switching, but if you have a password on your account it serves the same purpose.
