Im currently using Synchronizer, but its only a guessing game using that when im fixing the sync and alot of times i have to process the avi a few times to get it rite.

There are a few free video editing programs around, but I don't know if they can fix sync. Try virtualdub or nandub. Also check http://www.doom9.org/ for solutions.
A/V sync in an avi file is bad news. It is almost impossible to fix, unless the sync is at a set rate. What I mean is, if it starts in sync, then goes more and more out of sync, forget about it you will never win. if it's out a certain amount, and is always the same amount out, then it is a really easy fix using virtualdub. (Video>change framerate so audio and video durations match) then video>direct stream copy. then save the new avi.
If this doesnt work click audio>Interleaving and look for adding a + or - audio delay to match it up. trial and error.
