AX4SG-N

Anybody here have the Aopen AX4SG-N? If you have it, is anybody running SilentTek? If so, does anybody hear beeping when SilentTek turns the CPU fan off? If so, does anybody know how to disable that beeping? If so, how? It's annoying, and basically defeats the purpose of SilentTek.

That is what i call nested if's. Well... check the BIOS see if you cand find any hardware monitoring or alert options. I have never used Aopen Mobo's but on many (new) motherboards I don't think you can disable the Hardware Monitor, but you should be able to disable the alerts, even thou since last P3's that option seems to be fading away in BIOS configurations.

I do own and use many Aopen motherboards however I don't use SilenTek or any kind of fan noise reduction software because I don't believe in it and want the fans to run at full speed all the time.

The issue could be the fact that the fan is off rather then slowed down and you should check the Hardware Monitor section in the system BIOS and see if there is an option for this.

Aopen usually includes a plethora of settings for this

Another thing to check would be the current BIOS revision, see if there are any later revisions that correct this issue.

OP
Thanks guys. I've actually done everything you suggested. I've looked all through the BIOS, and even updated it to see if I got more options. I looked around in SilentTek to disable the beeping and while some of the settings looked very promising, they didn't quite do what I wanted.

Anyhoo, I'm just using it until i get a Zalman cooler. They make zero noise.

Thanks for the responses.
