Background processes' hidden windows appear
One of the clients on the network experienced an odd occurrance that I cannot figure out exactly what happened, nor how to prevent it. She was printing a couple of documents when suddenly she saw about 30-40 different windows pop up all over the screen.

She was printing a couple of documents when suddenly she saw about 30-40 different windows pop up all over the screen. After looking into the situation, I discovered that all of these windows were the "hidden" windows of all active processes.
I had to manually stop each process and reboot the machine. Everything is working just fine, but it has me wondering what's going on. No viruses or spyware have been detected. All security updates have been installed. OS is XP SP2.
Anyone have any clue as to what happened or how to prevent it from occurring again? Thanks.
