BackWeb Error on Startup
Hi Gang, I have a client with an old system that somebody gave her. From what I understand BackWeb is typically bundled with other programs and one of those programs will launch BackWeb at startup.
Hi Gang,
I have a client with an old system that somebody gave her. From what I understand BackWeb is typically bundled with other programs and one of those programs will launch BackWeb at startup. I also realize that some programs won't work without it, but hopefully the program in question sucks. Admitedly, I didn't have all day to trouble-shoot it, but I did try disabling the less-familiar of her startup processes in the hopes that the error would go away. Does anyone know which program is causing this specific error? Alternatively can someone point me towards an exhaustive list of programs that use BackWeb? Are there any SpyWare detection tools that might take care of this?
This is the startup error message she's seeing:
Thanks,

Hey Christian,
everything I have found points to HP/Compaq as the problem. Here is a link about it. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/genericDocument?lc=en&cc=us&docname=c00061410
