Well, you can see I changed my sig, but my file server, Animosity, got a little upgrade. I dropped my 800MHz Duron in there and added a couple of 48x CD-ROMs for sharing CD-ROMs we can't mirror. The case is full, so if we add any more, I guess I'll have to get a full tower:D.
Well i just did a fresh install of xp runs better now hopefully stops the lockups:D
Ok new problem it the fan only error but the thing is the cpu isn't dead, i tried it in my machine and it the cpu works but for some reason it won't work in the dfi board. anyone have an idea what it might be?

UT is probably also in the running. I can run that quite awhile w/o crashing.

Ronin all that isn't in your house is it?
Well, I just moved to AMD (15-year Intel addict)!
Because of a bargain: around 250 euros/dollars for an ASUS A7V133 and Athlon XP 1700+. I wanted to reuse my sdram memory sticks.
I must say it is a huge step from my previous PIII 1GHz.
Cannot compare performance.
Installed new hardware (previously a CUV4X), W2K hangs, do a repair install and voila
No stability problem after 48 hours. Everything is flying.
Only thing: UT needs twice the disk space now. Had to change swapfile size from 512 to 1024 megs to stop it hanging. Weird, why only UT?

For ronin and if this is in his house he has to get paid a great deal of money where he works or someone left him a big some of moniey, not to be rude. but ronin all i want to know is in that in your house:D
You'd be surprised at what people have in their homes. I know quite a few people at different forums that have a ton of PC's.
i have 2 comps in my bedroom now it's not 2 bad but all that in my house woud drive me bonkers lol
I just realized that i had the 420th post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Bah Bah BahBah Bha Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah b
