Ahh, silly me. My freakin USB card doesn't like high FSB's, which is a bit of a problem since I've already given up the on-board USB due to the KT266 chipset.

Well, what speed does your PCI bus run at a your target CPU FSB? My PCI bus runs asynchronously from my CPU FSB so it stays at 33MHz.

This board doesn't have a lot of OCing options, among those that you mentioned. I'll probably get a KT333 board when they're available, probably the one from EPoX. For right now, I guess It'll just have to be the ol multiplier for me.

I had it at a 151MHz FSB, and the PCI divider tops out at 4. All other cards worked fine, which is what makes me kinda mad.

Well im testing a radeon 8500 in my puter at the mo. Seems like a nice card, much better than i expected, and where are all the driver issues that ive heard so much about ? Everything works flawlessly so far.

What games are you playing on it? Doing any 3D work with the card (CAD/CAM or something like Lightwave, Maya, etc)?

When I had mine, I wondered the same thing. ATI has definitely come around with their drivers. Perfect, no, but a helluva lot better than they were at the launch of the original Radeon.

Most of the reports regarding your series of card were within the first few months it came out, and ATi has had a long history of taking forever to update their drivers (or just not update them at all). Looks like you have good timing; good drivers, and probably a good price to go with it.

Well, I'm gonna repaint my case, and do it right this time. I'm also adding a window mod while I'm at it. I may get a cathode kit too, not sure, may wait for my next paycheck...

I'm starting to disassemble the entire thing, parts and all, so I can give it a dusting while I'm at it. That, and I gotta remove the fronts of my external drives to paint.
