I haven't been able to find 10x 80min ones anywhere - 10x 74min ones are no probs - I have some, just not the 80min ones. I keep checking in Maplin & Staples, but no joy yet

The Packard Bell ones, yes? I just had a look on their site, £17.99 for just 10 RW CDs? Think I'll pass for now - will wait til prices come down a little.

As have I - I just don't have the same amount of spare cash to throw around as you obviously do. Plus, I phoned Videologic tech support today only to be told that the prob I have with my SV2 is a known issue with XP & the only solution is to get a new sound card, so have got to save up for 1, as the prob I have with it is driving me nuts.

Well, I got a new toy: a digital camera. Specifically, the Sony DSC-P20, 1.3 mega pixel camera. This is very good, since I can now take pictures of stuff I'm reviewing:D

The quote is off SNL's "Nick Burns: Your Company's Computer Guy" It's hilarious to the nerds in the house, chiefly me and my dad

Anyway, I'll be looking at some different batteries: this new camera eats alkalines. I can use NiCAD or NiMH or Sony's expensive InfoLithium...suggestions welcom.

Goodbye & good riddance to my Sonic Vortex 2. Ok, so in fairness, it's not a bad card as such - when it works, it sounds nice - but let's face it - nobody wants to have to keep rebooting their PC whilst watching a video file because the sound dies on them. If I ever get round to building a second machine running on either Linux or 98SE then I might let the SV2 take up residence there, but until then it's on the sidelines indefinitely.

Very nice. I can't quite bear the thought of ditching my PS/2 ports just yet, but that IT7 is very sweet in concept.
