I've got WinDVD and Power DVD 3. up and running on my box. So far I dont see any performance differences as compared to when I was running them on 2k and 98. And PowerDVD is definatly out performing WinDVD on every scale.
Actually i prefer winDVD, it just seems alot more polished to me. Its really down to personal preference but the 2 Rien suggested are the easily the best.
As long as WinDVD and PowerDVD run on your box, either one is a god choice.
PowerDVD XP 4.0 is definitely the best one out there. If you look hard enough, you can find it already, otherwise it'll be out in November.
