Let's see...

Native XP Firewall
ISA Server
Sygate Personal Firewall

One (or more) of those should fill the need that you have. IMO, Sygate PF is THE best free Windows firewall, bar none.

Norton Personall Firewall 2003 is awesome. Have never looked back, Couple it with NAV Corp 8 and you have an unbeatable combo!

I used to swear by Norton but it was very high CPU usage,

Has that changed?

I tried NIS 2002 but had to ditch it because i ended up having to reinstall it every 4 days, so I won't try a new NIS for a while. Though now that i have 2 boxes I might think about looking into NAV corporate.

As for firewalls, I use Sygate PF, its awesome.

it is down to personally preference at the end of the day but if it is for personal use then get the free version of zone alarm and give it ago, i used it before upgrading to the pro version for my network !! It is great !! IMO...
