Best soundcard for Win2k?

Just turned into a flamefest about SBLive problems. Is the situation any better now? I've been thinking about a SBLiveValue, but not sure.

I've been thinking about a SBLiveValue, but not sure. Mostly I just listen to CD's and play games like UT and ViperRacing. I don't need anything real fancy, but I would like 4 speaker support for sure. Is the Santa Cruz really worth $40 more than a Value? Has anyone tried one in 2k? Does it work?

I have an sblive value, and it works ok. I can't load the liveware 3 because I use SMP, that seems what causes the problems. So if you don't use SMP I say go with the live. Its a nice card.
