Why 3DFX, and where's Matrox?

I was thinking more along the lines of gaming. And I liked 3dfx. I'm hoping Nvidia will use their technology with future chips. Matrox never crossed my mind. Apologies to the Matrox only crowd.
I like nvidia cards reguardless if they are a monopoly or not. ive bought a TNT from them and a GF2 MX and I will buy a GF2 Pro when i get some cash behind me. Rock solid cards no problems here so they will get my money for a new vid card. That and they do make the best gaming cards hands down.
Love my Matrox ( great for Cad) but I would love to have the nvidia.
