This is a discussion about Beta DirectX expired in the Customization Tweaking category; Has anyone seen this message regarding DirectDraw? It shows a confirmation box with something like Beta DirectDraw expired you must click OK to move on. More importantly does anyong know how to get rid of this in W2K?.

Yes, you will need to either
1)re-install a more recent build of directx
2) find a link to the dx uninstaller and use it to uninstall directx
3) reformat and re-install windows.

I only got this message when i downloaded a DirectX8.1 beta extracted from WindowsXP beta.Just installed my old directx8.0a again.
