Better Graphics Card

I just got a new computer, and of course the one thing in it not up to par is the graphics, which is on-board/shared memory. Luckily, I got a system with an AGP-8X slot, so I can get a good video card for the system.

I just got a new computer, and of course the one thing in it not up to par is the graphics, which is on-board/shared memory. Luckily, I got a system with an AGP-8X slot, so I can get a good video card for the system. In the meantime, I have a GeForce 2MX-400 64MB PCI card laying around. Would that be any faster than the integrated graphics the system has now, or should I just wait? Also, if you could, please recommend the best AGP graphics card thats in the $100 range.

Thanks so much!

Your Nvidia PCI card won't care if you have AGP or not, and it is probably not going to be much of an improvement over the onboard. Leave well enough alone until you get your new card that is AGP. You want a better video card, increase your budget. The Nvidia 6600 seems to be a good investment, if you can find one.
