Bizarre Sims 2 problem
This is a discussion about Bizarre Sims 2 problem in the Windows Games category; I'm having a bizarre problem with Sims 2 where it works fine for one Windows user, but the other user gets a message that Sims 2 has encountered a problem and needs to close whenever they start the game.

The user having the problem is the one who was logged on when the game was installed and had no problem running the game in the past. Now it only works for the other Windows user.
I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling the game and it still works for the user who did not install it, but not for the user who did.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Are both the users Administrators?

OP
Both accounts are set up as Computer Administrator.
That is weird! Are you by any chance using a no-cd patch?

OP
If that means did I do soething to not require the CD in the drive, the answer is 'no', the CD is required. No patch have been applied after installation.
