Do you recently try to install PowerQuest's BootMagic or PartitionMagic?

OP
Yes, I had Partition Magic installed to create my dual boot, I have since uninstalled it and of course deleted the dual boot.

You need to have Windows reset the boot record. The way to do this is to boot off the Windows cd, go into the recovery console, and type "fixmbr c:". You may need to do a "fixboot c:" as well.

you might want to check powerquests supoort sight as their KB is pretty good at telling you how to fix the various errors that arise with their programs.

Next time you get the message write down the error number (they usually ALWAYS have an error number) and look in the "Master Error List" it will tell you why you are getting the error as well as how to fix it.
