Burnt cd's have corrupt files !!

This is a discussion about Burnt cd's have corrupt files !! in the Windows Software category; I'm using cdrwin, NTI Cd maker and Nero (lates versions of all) to burn on XP 2600. The box is - TB 1Ghz, Plextro 16x IDE burner, Pioneer 16x DVD, 256MB Ram. All burns seem to be ok, however on some cd's I get bad/corrupted files when I try to read them - there is no indication of this during the burn.

All burns seem to be ok, however on some cd's I get bad/corrupted files when I try to read them - there is no indication of this during the burn. If I burn 2-3 times again then they work. I'm using BurnProof so why is this happening? And how can I prevent it !!

try burning at a slower speed. while this is happening, don't use the computer until the burning is finished.
