Busted Progs in "Add and Remove Programs"

You know when you install a program and then it sucks and you want to uninstall it but for some reason it says in your Add and Remove programs list even after you supposedly delete it? Where would I go about and look for the place in the registry or wherever that those programs are listed so I can delete it myself ...

TweakUI allows you to remove entries from the Add/Remove Programs list without having to touch the registry.

That's bizarre - neither did I!! I just went on the assumption that it's been there since Win95, so why remove it?

Ah well, that will teach me to check before I type
