C/C++ Compiler's??

This is a discussion about C/C++ Compiler's?? in the Windows Software category; I have just tried to install Borland C++ 4. 52 and couldnt get it to work. Are there any C/C++ compilers that do work ok (that are ideally old and/free!) with win2k? I know that Borland have a command line version that is free, but I'd rather have a GUI.
