can i install a service ??

hey. . apparently my system is missing the Workstation service. . . (running xp pro). (without it I receive an error trying to see the properties of the users on my computer. . . ) can i install it ??.

at a command prompt type "net start Workstation"

as you can see :

THIS SERVICE IS NOT INSTALLED AT ALL AND I DON'T KNOW WHY.I NEED TO INSTALL IT (TO MANAGE USERS).
CAN I INSTALL IT ?
