I have a Toshiba 8100 with Windows 98 (not exactly the latest and greatest..) I tried to download the latest Windows updates and since then my laptop can ONLY start in safe mode. It regular mode, it tries to load windows, and get a frozen screen with the toolbar at the bottom and the desktop background - without any icons. HELP!!!!!!

Just reinstall '98, piece of pizz, you won't lose anything, and it will put all your sysytem files back to where they were before the update.
