Cannot see Multiplayer in HL
Okay, ive got the latest updates for HL. The problems comes when I want to select the game on the net I want to play. I see nothing on the part of the screen where it should list the available games.
Okay, ive got the latest updates for HL. The problems comes when I want to select the game on the net I want to play. I see nothing on the part of the screen where it should list the available games. If I use the quick start option I can play the games, but thats the only way I can. LAN game work okay. And the only other machine currently running HL is running under Win98 and it has no probs with HL.

The first thing to check is the Filter option.
Go into it and make sure are including the right mod that you want to play, and put in a reasonable ping time.
I generally have mine set like this:
Ping <350
Not Empty
Not Full
I think that's about it. Don't check the dedicated server button.
Then click on Update rather than refresh. This should go off to the WON servers and grab a load game servers for you.
