Cannot work

This is a discussion about Cannot work in the Windows Games category; I just bought sim city 3000. I have xp pro and when I go to start the install, I get this message: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC. NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications.

I just bought sim city 3000. I have xp pro and when I go to start the install, I get this message: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
 
-What does this jargon mean?
