I made a W2K Setup bootdisk as described in FAQ on Windows 2000 "How can I create a Windows 2000 CD with integrated Service Pack 2" (currently FAQ no.26; the article submitted by Anthony Toste); i.e. I took the boot.bin, made ISO image with CDRWIN and burned it to a CD-RW blank using Adaptec EasyCD. Well, all procedure was without problem. But while booting from that CD, it goes as far as to the BIOS message "No emulation", and that's it. I.e. no the "Please strike any key to boot from CD..." message and all that follows: the system just stays there at "No emulation" forever. So, it is apparent that the system does start booting from CD, from which I conclude that I did not make any stupid mistake. But somewhere there is a problem not provided for in the article. Do you know what this problem may be? Did you ever try to make a W2K boot disk? If successfully, could you (oh, please) tell me what to do to make it work? It would be so good to be able to include additional drivers on W2K Setup disk...

I have made a couple of 2k CDs using the method described in the FAQ and have only had one, the first, fail. What I did after that was copy and past hte info directly from the article instead of entering it by hand.

Many thanks everyone who cared to answer. The problem is solved, i.e. the boot CD is made; though, unfortunately, the reason for the first fail has not been located. Probably the iso file at the first try somehow got corrupt.
