Hi, I've just downloaded and installed Vista RC1. Now I can no longer boot into my Win2k OS.
The following error comes up: hal.dll is missing.
System config:
One Hard drive: 4 partitions: <Win xp> <Vista> <Win 2k>
Any help would be appreciated, I need Win2k back as that's where I do all of my productivity.

Check that C:\boot.ini has correct entry for 2000.
For example, that it points to right partition.

somewhere in vista you can set the entries for the bootloader...
right click my computer -- properties -- advanced tab -- under startup and recovery click settings (that's how u edit the bootloader in xp)-just find it in vista!

FPS.DYL, Stop resurrecting old threads. All you do is knock off the new threads that are posted and then those people get no help.
