Can't Flush DNS resolver cache!?!?
This is a discussion about Can't Flush DNS resolver cache!?!? in the Windows Networking category; running on windows 2000 Sp2 ok. . . i have about a BILLION entries in my dns cache and apparently they aren't being updated as IPs change (such as microsoft. com)therefore certain websites cant be accessed using their names because the ip assigned to the name has been changed but it the old IP is instill in the cache.

ok... i have about a BILLION entries in my dns cache and apparently they aren't being updated as IPs change (such as microsoft.com)therefore certain websites cant be accessed using their names because the ip assigned to the name has been changed but it the old IP is instill in the cache.
i tried flushing the cache using ipconfig /flushdns but it SAYS successfuly flushed DNS resolver cache and when i type ipconfig /displaydns the entries are still THERE!!
i would LOVE to know how another way to get rid of those without reinstalling windows 2000.
