Can't get started FFVII

Hi everyone. I was trying yesterday to install FFVII on my computer. It's a windows XP, and I haven't played the game in years and years. Now, I haven't tried installing patches yet, but when I start it up, I install and get all the required installations then get maximum install, and it all is fine.

Hi everyone. I was trying yesterday to install FFVII on my computer. It's a windows XP, and I haven't played the game in years and years. Now, I haven't tried installing patches yet, but when I start it up, I install and get all the "required installations" then get maximum install, and it all is fine... I pop in disc 1 to try it out... New game/continue (grayed out) and I click new game. Black screen. Nothing happens. No sound. I have to alt tab out and shut it down with ctrl alt delete (it's still running though) to try again.

Happens everytime.

Add the maximum amount of memory your computer allows. This should work.
