cant load pc railroads

I NEED HELP! I GOT THE GAME(SID MEIER'S RAILROADS) FOR X-MAS AND HAVE HAD NO LUCK INSTALLING IT. I PUT THE DISK IN AND THE INSTALLATION SCREEN POPS UP. I PUCH INSTALL AND NOTHING HAPPENS. I HAVE A DELL DIMENSION E510 (WINDOWS XP).

I HAVE A DELL DIMENSION E510 (WINDOWS XP). I CONTACTED DELL AND THE ONLY WAY THEY WOULD TRY TO HELP IS FOR $$$$$ OF COURSE. SO ANY HELP WOULD BE HELPFUL. THANKS CHRIS

1. Are you logged in as an Administrator?
2. Do you have Windows XP SP2 (32 bit) installed?
3. How much free disk space do you have?
4. Is anything reported in the Event Viewer (eventvwr.msc)?
