I have a computer with xp pro that is having trouble pinging localhost / 127.0.0.1

Also, it can't ping it's own IP address, 192.168.1.107

However, it CAN ping the router, and any address on the internet. It just can't see any other computer on the internal network.

I tried resetting the tcp/ip stack using

netsh int ip reset

but it didn't help. Also, the network card was working perfectly fine before i upgraded from xp home to xp pro... could the upgrade possibly have screwed something up?
