Can't run Star Wars Chess in xp, pls help

when i try to run the application exe, nothing happens, and then i open the task manager, try to end the application (which doesn't seem to be running anyways), then it says unable to reach windows 16-bit subsystem, it can be unstable etc.

what should i do??

i already tried that.. it won't work :|
it doesn't give a file error tough.. just the subsystem..
can an emulator solve this problem?

Try this. Right-click the program icon and then select Properties. Click the Compatibility tab, and change the compatibility settings for your program. Select Windows 95 from the "Run this program in compatiblity mode for:" combobox.
