Ive tried to burn a disk of mp3s thru Nero, it starts but then stops. It says a few things, scsi command aborted, drive not ready, could not perform endtrack, and invalid write state. Ive tried burning at diff speeds, that doesnt help.

Ive tried to burn a disk of mp3s thru Nero, it starts but then stops. It says a few things, "scsi command aborted", "drive not ready", "could not perform endtrack", and "invalid write state". Ive tried burning at diff speeds, that doesnt help. Ive tried using differant brands of cd, doesnt help. Im using a sony dvd+/- cd-rw and Im on WinXP pro. Ive also tried burning thru musicmatch jukebox, doesnt work there either. The drive burned disks on my old computer but I had a friend build me a new one. Had problems with my printer as well, then found out it was service pack 2 causing the problems, wondering if SP2 is also reaking havok on my dvdrw?

check the manufacturers website for any firmware updates that might deal with this issue.

Also depending on what IDE/SATA controller your drive is connected to you may want to see if there are updated drivers/firmware for it. (For the CD drive and the controller)
