Guys...
I recently upgraded to Win2k + SP2 from WinME. I have one problem with my CD-ROM after the upgrade. The CD-ROM drive tray automatically ejectes by Win2k whenever the drive is not in used. I have turned off CD-ROM auto detect and even increased the timeout value to 99 min in the CD-ROM device properties in Admin Tools / Computer Mgmt / Storage / Physical Locations.
My config:
Win2k + SP2
Intel D815EPEA
Intel PIII 866EB
512Meg SDRAM @ 133MHz
Maxtor 30g HDD @ 7200rpm + UDMA66
Creative 52x CD-ROM drive
SB-Live Value
ASUS v7700 Geforce2 GTS Pure
Any suggestion? TIA.

Are you sure this is a W2k Problem. I have never heard of such thing connected to W2k
However. i have seen in total 3 CD rom's from Creative which does (literally) spit the disk back at you. after some wild spinning and verry weird noises.
Try putting another CD-Rom in and try it out. It should sort it out I believe.
