Is this a newly installed drive? If not, was your machine showing the drive before but not anymore? If so, did you recently install anything or update a driver? How old is the drive?

In all honesty, you may have a bad drive. Try unconnecting the drive inside the machine and give everything a good dusting, then firmly reattach all cables and boot the machine back up. Worst case scenario, you might have to fork out $30-50 for a new drive.
