First what os?

Second:
You don't need a driver for your cdrom. I have 4 writers and 3 cdroms and don't need a driver for any of those sice win3.1. Not even my teac scsi cdr needs a driver. All new os's include already support cdroms without a driver. (in most cases)

According to Windows Hardware Compatibility List it should work with w2000.

Try checking for a firmware upgrade.
