change language on Windows XP

This is a discussion about change language on Windows XP in the Everything New Technology category; I recently purchased a laptop computer that has a Chinese language on it. Everything including the Icons are in Chinese. How do I change to English without knowing what the Chinese characters mean? The computer is running Windows XP.
