Changing memory for Dos Prompt

This is a discussion about Changing memory for Dos Prompt in the Windows Games category; Hi, im having trouble finding out how to change the extended memory amount available to a CMD Dos Propmt in win2k. Im trying to get an old game to work, without having to set up a multiboot for one game The game reports out of extended memory.

Hi, im having trouble finding out how to change the extended memory amount available to a CMD Dos Propmt in win2k. Im trying to get an old game to work, without having to set up a multiboot for one game The game reports out of extended memory. Any ideas? the game is loadstar if it makes any difference.

Right-click on executable. Do a Properties. Change the memory in the memory tab. It automagically makes a .pif when you click OK that is used every time you use the executable..
 
*Some games you may have to disable some programs in config.nt.
