Chatting using cable internet

This is a discussion about Chatting using cable internet in the Windows Networking category; Hello I was wondering if someone could help me out with this. I was trying to talk to my friend using microsoft messanger and was told that my voice sounded like i was talking in a tunnel, It had a echo to it, and was difficult to understand.

Hello I was wondering if someone could help me out with this. I was trying to talk to my friend using microsoft messanger and was told that my voice sounded like i was talking in a tunnel, It had a echo to it, and was difficult to understand. I can here her fine, she acecss the internet via the phone line, but im using cable.
 
Dose the fact that I'm using cable have anything to do with it, If so can any one tell me how to fix this problem.

Sounds like you are using a microphone and speakers. Try using a headset with a microphone, that should reduce a lot of the tunnel effect.
