chessmaster 9000 doesn't work in XP

This is a discussion about chessmaster 9000 doesn't work in XP in the Windows Games category; When I run chessmaster 9000, displays message aplication causes errors and need to be closed. we apologize. . . I tried both typical and complete instalation, latest game patch from internet but the problem still remains.

When I run chessmaster 9000, displays message "aplication causes errors and need to be closed. we apologize..." I tried both typical and complete instalation, latest game patch from internet but the problem still remains. Does anyone know what to do, please?

Athlon XP 1600
gigabyte ga-7va mainboard, via KT400 (latest hyperion 4.45 drivers)
256MB DDR333
radeon 8500le vivo (latest catalyst 3.0 drivers)
sb live! and advance ac97 audio
win xp + sp1
direct x 8.1

Chessmaster 9000 ran perfectly on my system :
P-III 450 Mhz
320 MB Ram
NVIDIA Riva TNT I
Win XP (no SP)
