When i run a chkdsk from within windows xp it tells me there are errors in the volume bitmap and other errors it cannot fix in read-only mode. Then i run chkdsk /f and reboot andlet it do its work. But then back in windows when i run chkdsk i still get errors.

The scary thing is, i tried the same on another computer and it has exactly the same problem.

Anyone experiencing this?
Thanks

I've had the exact same problem. I got around it by booting up in safe mode w/ command prompt and running chkdsk from the command prompt, then rebooting normally and running chkdsk once more. That should fix it.
