chocobo racing error, final fantasy 7
This is a discussion about chocobo racing error, final fantasy 7 in the Windows Games category; I want to bet on the chocobo races at the gold saucer, but every time I try my computer screen goes black and then gives me the whole unexpected error. . . program needs to close. . . blahblahblah I can get up to the screen where you select which ones you wanna bet on but as soon as I hit start it does this.

I have a windows 2000 and I've never had any other problems with this game until now. Any ideas would be appreciated.

ahhhh I just found out it does the same thing when I actually have to ride the chocobo....somebody help me pleeeease! ;(
There's actually an official patch for the game that fixes crashing at the chocobo races. You can find it here: http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/finalfantasy7/downloads.html

You really should use all the fan-made patches for the game. Even Eidos site links to one of the
fan-made patches. There is even improved models for the game (!).
