Command and Conquer 1 SVGA on Win XP

This is a discussion about Command and Conquer 1 SVGA on Win XP in the Windows Games category; Evertime i try to install the Game on XP i get an error : setup initialization error. So i can't install it. The data on the cd can be opened with Winace but not extraced. Can somebody help me please????.

You said SVGA so the DOS version? Did you try to run setup in full-screen NTVDM mode?

No it's the Win95 Version, thats the problem i think, on win me it's running perfectly. But I can't install win95 on my harddisk, cause i have too many data on it.

Hi, this probably wont help you much or at all, but ive got the same version. Win95 C&C1, the 1 that runs in 640x480 under windows, and it installs and runs perfectly once patched
 
So it does work under XP.
 
Just make sure your running it as an admin and you might want to try the installer under win95 compatibility mode.

Thanks for the suggestion, but this is the version i have and i tried to run it in compatibility mode.
