Command and Conquer Renegade 1030 patch fails to install

This is a discussion about Command and Conquer Renegade 1030 patch fails to install in the Windows Games category; Title says it all. The patch installation gets about 1/8th of the way through, then fails. Leaving me with one of the error report screens to deal with. I have found that others have had this problem, but i've not seen a solution as yet.

Im running xp on a 2.26 p4, 512mb ram, gf4 4400ti..
