Command & Conquer on XP

This is a discussion about Command & Conquer on XP in the Windows Games category; Hey, can anybody help me?? I have just purchased a used copy of C&C and installed it but all I get when I try and run it is a black screen which shuts off back to the desktop when I hit escape. I also put in the patch but that doesnt help.

When I try and play it, I get the load up screen and the woman is talking but I when I hit play C&C, black screen, nothing happens.

ok i solved my own problem, just used the compatiblity for win95.
