Conflicts
This is a discussion about Conflicts in the Windows Hardware category; Upgraded from 98 to Win2K a while back and everything was smooth. I have recently got a new PIII system with an Asus P3V Board and Win2K (fresh) installs fine but I get a conflict between my Asuscom ISDN Card and my Geforce 2 GTS.

I have recently got a new PIII system with an Asus P3V Board and Win2K (fresh) installs fine but I get a conflict between my Asuscom ISDN Card and my Geforce 2 GTS. I can run fine without 1 or the other but together its a black screen on boot up.
I have heard I can copy my i386 folder and change something so that Windows doesn't stack up the IRQ's to the same number and disable the PnP OS in my Bios but is there an easier way? I have tried with Service Pack 1 and without the effects are the same.
Pleeeeease help

if you want to change it from a ACPI computer to standard PC then go to the device manager then click on computer hit properties and update the driver.
You will then need to disable IRQ steering from the properties (or advanced settings) tab on the Standard comptuter driver details.
Sometimes it works without having to do this..
