Converting "Dynamic" to "Basic" Hard Disk
This is a discussion about Converting "Dynamic" to "Basic" Hard Disk in the Everything New Technology category; I recently moved to VISTA Home Premium from W2KS and moved two of my disks to the new system. Unfortunately VISTA Premium is not capable of detecting Dynamic type of Hard Disks-only Ultimate can. If I want to convert to Basic, VISTA warns me that I will loose all data in that process.

Is there a utility that can convert to "Basic" type without loss of data, either in W2K or in Vista?
TIA.

I do believe that Partition Magic can do this, however, it's a third party retail app so if you are looking for low/no-cost I wouldn't know where to refer you to
