This is a discussion about Counter-strike problem in the Windows Games category; Howdy. . . . . i installed yesterday Winxp 2600 Pro,and tryit to play counter-strike everything was ok until i connected my ping was 90-800 i did always have 20-50. . . . . what can it be?? and my game crashes like 5-10 min when i´m playing it.

What drivers are u using?

I´m using now 14.70 ....i have tryit every single detonator from nvidia and guru3d.com nothing works right....when i try lan game the ping is ok....?? but only online games i get this huge ping
I'm not sure about the ping, however you may want to try changing some settings in BIOS with the AGP. Change the drive strength to DA or EA, change the AGP to 2x or disable AGP4x.
i just got through the problem of CounterStrike crashing every 5 minutes.... Geforce 2 MX
I tried 14.70 's , bios flash etc etc DIDNT work...
So i took the card out and put another Graphics card in and it works fine now...... ASUS Geforce 2 MX........
cant work out why it wouldnt work on that card .... strange

The new Det4 drivers are supposed to be compatible with WinXP, they are being released middle of Sept
