This is a discussion about Creatives Audigy line and the Via bug(fix) in the Windows Hardware category; Before the patch, when using a CL soundcard we had file corruption. After the patch, we have static while playing sound files (well, at least I have). My question is if CLs Audigy line is going to have that static too in combination with the VIA patch or not.

Hopefully not, but we can't say for sure. Part of the problem is creative's fault with the SBLive!, not all Via's, as driver support has made quite a few people here irate about it.
Now that the problem is know, I'd hope that Creative would make certain that the cards wouldn't conflict with hardware.
